MAX bearings provide 35-40% more load capacity than standard cross bearings thanks to a special design in which instead of baskets there is a maximum number of balls (full filling) introduced into the bearing through a non-standard slot. The bearings have deeper treadmills to provide increased side support and better counteract twisting and multidirectional forces that act on axles in mountain bikes. They are equipped with double lip seals that move in micro-grooves, create a maze seal that provides excellent protection against weather conditions.
